Klondike Park

So after a failed hike at Howell Island we looked for the next hike in the book that was at least sort of close to where we were already. I have always seen the sign for Klondike Park while driving to the wineries in the Agusta area, and really wanted to go there anyway so I was glad there were trails there to be hiked.
The first trail was an easy loop around a lake, I know this looks like snow but it's beautiful white sand from the sandstone bluffs around this area. This park was actually an old quarry.
The Hogsback trail took us above the Missour River, it was quite beautiful ,even with no leaves on the trees and not much green to be found anywhere.
There were lots of cliffs and rock fomations, it was also quite muddy, and I should have worn hiking boots and not tennis shoes, and a hiking stick would have been helpful also.
There was a lookout on top of one of the bluffs, you can see the Missouri River and the bottom lands below. This is one of the areas that Lewis and Clark camped around 1804.
